The VMI Alumni Agencies respects the right of our donors to keep their gifts and personal information private. Donors who want to keep their gifts and/or commitments anonymous should make their wishes known as soon as possible in the gift process.
We are happy to provide detailed financial records to our donors concerning their current and past giving, as well as provide information on the status of endowments they have established. We also are willing to provide information on general fundraising and stewardship practices.
The VMI Alumni Agencies Board, Inc., VMI Keydet Club, VMI Foundation and VMI Alumni Association are registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, therefore not subject to Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act and are not required to disclose information about private gifts.
Audit: Annually, The VMI Alumni Agencies is subjected to a thorough financial audit. The results of that audit are posted on this website in the form of a Combined Financial Statement.
Form 990: Federal law also requires charitable organizations to file a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. A completed IRS Form 990 contains detailed financial facts on a charity including, but not limited to, information on income, expenses, assets and liabilities. The organization’s financial position also is provided on the Form 990.
