VMI wrestling continues its hot streak after handling Seton Hill University in the first home dual of the season at Cormack Hall Nov. 22, 2024.
The Keydets (4-1) easily took care of business, defeating the Griffins 42-8, marking VMI’s third-straight win before heading into Thanksgiving furlough.
Getting things going for VMI was Dyson Dunham ’26 at 133 pounds, pinning his opponent in under 4 minutes, followed by Patrick Jordon ’27, who won by fall at 149 pounds in 1:16. Eric Doran ’27 narrowly got past his opponent at 157 pounds, earning a late escape and riding time to win 8-6. Recording the only technical fall of the evening was 165-pounder Ryan Vigil ’26 in a 15-0 shutout (4:41). Ethan Flowers ’28 closed out the dual with a 9-0 major decision.
