The VMI coed rifle team visited SoCon foe Wofford College, Dec. 3, 2022, and shot its second-best aggregate score of the season en route to its first victory of the 2022–23 campaign.
The Keydets shot a 2,241 in the Smallbore (Wofford 2,063) and locked in for the Air Rifle, totaling 2,294 (Wofford 2,205).
The top of the leaderboard was VMI heavy, as Kolton Dobson ’23, Christopher Hicks ’24, and Ryan Harlow ’25 finished first, second, and fourth in the aggregate scoring. In Air Rifle, Dobson, Philip Frey ’24, and Hicks went 1-2-3, while spots 1-5 belonged to VMI in the Smallbore.
Dobson had a 563 Smallbore outing with a 581 Air Rifle. Hicks went 565, 570, while Harlow shot 557, 554.
The Keydets wrapped up their fall competition, opening spring contests Jan. 21.
