New Market Day

Hundreds of spectators packed both sides of Letcher Avenue May 15 for the annual New Market Day parade and ceremony. Perhaps the most solemn of all VMI parades, the New Market parade honors both VMI cadets who lost their lives during the Civil War battle and alumni who made the same sacrifice in later wars and conflicts.
